Taeliin in my field of paper flowers, and candy clouds of lullaby...
It was raining...again. Small drops of water spewed from the fat bellies of the dark gray clouds above, making the lake fill to its brim. The only noise to be heard was the miniscule patter of the raindrops upon the earth, and the slosh patter upon the lake. Yet, this semi-silence was decieving. It seemed as if there were no living creatures around the lands of Nami today. Well, if you thought that, you are wrong. A small wolven shape, Taeliin, padded at an easy trot down the slope of a damp knoll. Her attractive face was filled with delight, her paws crushing the soggy earth underpaw. Such a beautiful day, at least to her. Rain brought life, and with life came prosperity. And that was all this world could give, right? Being a Nami wolf, this is all that Taeliin had ever asked for.
Not for the forces or Light, or Dark. Just for balance. But, that wouldn't happen anytime soon. Tae's small frame carefully inched toward's the gurgling lake, its waters lapping at the banks. The she-wolf's golden eyes started down at the water, where she could spot her reflection, slightly distorted from the falling rain. She saw her face, her body, her balance. Something that the other two packs didn't posses. They possesed as sense of light, or darkness. She didn't understand why these wolves were constantly fighting. The bad thing was, that Nami was stuck in the middle of this feud, and the other two packs were locked in a tug-of-war over Nami's alliance. A sigh escaped Taeliin's maw as the tiny drops of rain soaked her pelt. Why couldn't the others see? They are all exactly the same...
I lie inside myself for hours, and watch my purple sky fly over me

.Prosper.
The soft, moist ground oozed between the male's toes when pressure was added with each step to the floor. Once lifted, the paw left behind a clearly visible print. The little engraving soon filled up with transparent liquid as it fell from the sky in clusters of droplets. It was quite a heavy downpour. Beads of rain slid down the curved faces of the leaves and plopped down onto the muddy ground below, every raindrop being dragged down by the pull of gravity. The vast sky was clouded and grey, not a peek of sunshine could fight it's way through the thick layer of padded clouding.
A grey day.
The weather had a great effect on the male wolf. His personality changed with different moods of the day. Today, seemed to depress the wolf slightly. The autumn-shaded brute continued to pad his way through the neutral part of the forest. Nami. It was rare to see such a sight... The alpha of the entire land of Kidva, wandering alone in the lands of Nami. Not many can locate the royals of Ikou most times, but it is a privilege to meet them.
Prosper was his name. King of Kidva, as his title is known. There was no real reason on why such a canine was in this particular part of the forest. He just happened to head this way, to get some time to himself. Although, his time alone was about to change. For a new scent wafted into the male's flaring nostrils. Raising his reddish-brown cranium, he looked around him. Amber optics rolled in their sockets, trying to catch sight of the fellow wolven.

honey you know, you know I'd never hurt you that way
The rain started to taper off to a light sprinkle, much to Taeliin's delight. For the rain was starting to soak her. The creamy white she-wolf lifted her maw to the wind, her black nose twitching as the scents of moisture, and another scent drifted into her nose. What was that scent? Curious, her head lifted further, golden eyes apprehensive. This scent...she couldn't identify it, yet it seemed so familier. This scent was taught to her long ago by her foster mother. She had always said: "Remember the scent of the Royals, Taeliin... The Royals. Tae's heart skipped a beat. What were one of them doing on Nami territory? Slightly alarmed, Taeliin dropped her head, and began to pace back and forth, coming dangerously close to the lake's banks.
She really didn't care, though. All she was thinking about was the Royals. Judging by the stronger scent, it was obviously the king. It took the pretty she-wolf a few moments to remember his name. What was it...? P...rosper! That's what it was. What did he want with Nami? Sure, the Royals often traveled to the other packlands from time to time, but Taeliin hadn't expected it today. Her face was set to a troubling expression. Stay calm, calm. She asserted to herself. With a sharp breath, Taeliin began to think. She was never good around other wolves, especially ones she didn't know...Except for Ryuzo. He always knew exactly what to say to comfort her. But he was gone now, and she would have to accept that. Yet, it was so hard. Drowning in her own thoughts, Taeliin didn't notice that she was very close to the lake, her body teetering dangerously over the surface. With a small yelp, she scrambled backward.
you're just so pretty in your pain

.Prosper.
Prosper's audios twitched and shot vertically as the sound of pacing came into hearing range. The squelch of mud and grime was loud and clear, seeing as the only other sound was the rain, which was now beginning to die down into a drizzle. At least it enlightened the male's feelings.
Slowly and cautiously stepping foreward, Prosper kept his head high, as well as his banner. To show he was not going to go down to any threats. But no threat was awaiting the Mexican wolf. Instead, it was almost the contrast. A young female was edging back towards the fast-flowing river. The level had risen a good few inches, due to the previous downfall, and the banks were soaked and crumbly. A dangerous place to be. But it seemed that the other hadn't noticed, she seemed... Puzzled.
There was no time to find out why she probably felt this way, for the canine had slipped backwards. Chances of her plunging into the raging waters were high. Prosper could never allow to let a fellow wolven set themselves in danger, he had to help out.
With a loud gasp and a flick of the tail, Prosper was charging foreward. Mud flicked up from the male's back limbs as he tried to speed foreward, his image being revealed almost instantly as he shot towards the wolf in need of aid.
Prosper opened his jaws wide and quickly locked them around the blanched female's scruff, just above her withers. Clenching hard and scrunching up his eyes, the male tried to reverse in order to heave the fem to safety. If it wasn't for the lack of friction, this job would have been a doddle. Slipping and sliding, Prosper tried with all his strength to help in the dangerous situation.

going under, i'm going under, drowning in you
Water. Water everywhere. Looks like Taeliin has backed up in the wrong place, for the water seemed to rush all around her. Now in a frenzy, partly because of her claustraphobia. A loud gasp escaped her maw, and she scrambled backward in a desperate attempt to get away from the river around her. Drowning was her worst fear...and eclosed spaces. If one drowned, then your spirit could not reach the heavens, and you would be lost to the river forever. Scary, right? Taeliin's exact feelings. Her golden eyes flickered madly back and forth, looking for someone to help. And that was when she felt sharp canines dig into her scruff fur. Now, her emotions began to calm, but she did notice her rescuer was struggling.
Her small body writhed in the water, looking for something viable to grasp, she she could heave herself up. Finally, her paws landed in mud, and Taeliin shoved herself upward, and with the combined force of these two things, Taeliin was out of the water, coughing loudly. Wrenching herself away from Prosper, the white she-wolf seemed to crouch in a lowly position, trembling. Her golden eyes studied the wolf that saved her, and a sense of gratitude washed over her. Th-thank you." She manged before coughing again, water spewing from her maw. Feeling as if her legs were lost of any bones, she collapsed down upon the earth, her body shaking. Water...she hated water...
i'm falling forever, i've got to break through...

.Prosper.
The fem had finally managed to help drag herself back onto dry land. Well, it wasn't exactly dry at that point. Prosper nearly toppled over sideways, as she freed herself of his grasping hold. She had strength, don't judge a book by it's cover. However, she had then placed herself on the ground as far away from the bank as possible, spluttering a slight; "Th-thank you." Before choking up large gulps of water. She seemed disturbed, her strikingly bright optics darted around in their sockets and her entire body was shaking quite violently.
Prosper stepped foreward, in reply to her thanks, he dismissed the matter with a nod. He then moved onto the next thing, it was obvious that the fellow wolven was in distress, but the King decided he'd ask of her anyway. To show respect and care towards her. He lowered his head to her level, and flattened out his auds horizontally, to show a friendly approach. Next, he spoke.
"Are you alright?"

i won't be broken again
The sense that the water was closing in all around her body, filling her airways frightened Taeliin to an extreme point. Being enclosed like that made her want to get up and run away from that spot run to an open place. The pretty she-wolf didn't even know what Prosper was saying, for she had her head pointed down, staring at her soaked paws, golden eyes wide with fear. Tight, enclosed spaces....she shivered at the thought. Finally, Taeliin's head lifted, her golden eyes staring blankly at Prosper. F-fine, I'm fine... She lied. On the inside she was scared to death.
For a moment, Taeliin was confused. This was the King of Kidva, and he looked very much like Ryuzo. She felt her heart ache for her lost love. You look very much like him... She murmured softly, golden eyes growing soft. The white she-wolf snapped back to reality. She was being very foolish. This was the King she was rambling on about. He probably had more important things to do. I'm sorry for causing so much trouble... She whispered softly, now staring down at her paws.
i've got to breathe, i can't keep going under

.Prosper.
Prosper looked down at the female. She said she was fine, but was clearly not. It seemed that she'd been very shaken by her near-death experience, that happened not only a few seconds ago. She held her head low, obviously still trying to recover from the dramatics. The male let her be for a while. But when she next spoke, it was a confusing thing to try and reply to. "You look very much like him..."
Prosper blinked twice. Who? He was still trying to think of a half-decent response, when the blanched lobo spoke yet again. This time apologizing. "F-fine, I'm fine..."
The male himself had no idea on what the apology was for, but with all due respect, he sat before her and tried to comfort. First he quoted her first statement. "Would you mind explaining yourself furthur...?" He then moved onto her next. "It's okay, no need for the apology. I'm always determined to help. Sorry for not showing myself in the first place." .Rich in Spirit.

.Prosper.
Prosper's audits were fixed foreward, his body as still as the rocks beneath his very paws. He didn't make a sound, it was the only way he was able to catch the quiet words that spilled from the female's maw. When she first choked the name of whom she was talking about, Prosper's amber optics widened. He knew of Ryuzo. Infact, he was once a very close friend. Yes, he remembered him well, son of the Nami betas. Being a 'lookalike' of this wolf was quite a shock. But now the idea came to mind, he did feel he looked quite similar to him. When the king had heard the news of his death, he was hit with grief. But, he now thought, it must've been far worse for this female. She was strong, as he'd already learned from earlier.
Being weak in the area to cheer up stricken feelings, Prosper was lost for words. He spoke the best thing he could come up with. Whether it would help the créme female or not.
"I knew him. He was, a close friend of mine. I too was struck with disbelief at word of his death, but I now see not as much as the one he loved."
Prosper lowered his cranium a few inches, also laying his rounded auds flat against the skull. He then raised it again, almost instantly. This reason being the fact that the female wolf had changed the subject. Perking his ears once more, he caught the few words. "Nami doesn't get visited by the Royals often...I feel blessed."
Prosper smiled a warm, wolf-like grin. It pleased the king to feel respected, as it would to many. He replied to that statement with a short 'thankyou, one is glad to be honored', a flick of the banner as he spoke. "Nice meeting you...Prosper shook his head slightly, trying to shake out all of the thoughts that were currently clouding his mind. He then cantered after the leaving fem, and not being one for words, spoke another short sentence. "Why do you leave?" .Rich in Spirit.

how can you see into my eyes, like open doors?
As Taeliin sit there, facing the lake, a grimace across her maw, she grew thoughtful at Prosper's statement. He knew Ryuzo? Feeling another shot of grief shoot through her body, Tae frowned. He's been dead only for a couple of months...It's slightly foolish of me to still be grieving. She replied, ears flicking forwardto catch the sounds of the lake. Dragonflies buzzing, toads croaking...
Then, the she-wolf noticed something. Prosper had come to her, even after she left his side. Slightly puzzled, her golden eyes flickered over to the male's face. Why do you leave? He said. At this, Taeliin smiled, the look of confusion still on her face. I...I thought you'd want to leave. Most wolves don't like to hear me ramble on about Ryuzo. So, I come here alone...I feel more free when I'm alone. She explained, laughing at how weird that sounded. Glancing to Prosper's face, Taeliin's golden eyes glanced away to the lake once more...
leading you down into my core, where i've become so numb...

.Prosper.
Prosper shook his head at her statement. No, she was not foolish. Anyone would be depressed if their only lover was lost. The male himself had lost his only relatives, his mother and father. He was still upset about it in his heart, but he knew that their spirits were still with him. Running beside him, wherever he went. Like his shadow.
Prosper placed his rump on the warm, moist earth, curling his banner around his forepaws. The rain had stopped now, and the warm west breeze carried the scent of new summer. The lake the male was now facing rippled in the hazy air, the dragonflies hovered above the water's surface and the few frogs called to eachother in a deep croak. Overall, the setting was peaceful.
"I...I thought you'd want to leave." Again, Prosper shook his cranium, slowly swaying it left and right almost as if he was in time with some kind of tune. No, he did not want to leave, he also wanted some time alone. The calmness of this area was most relaxing. That was one of the prides the Nami carried, the calm, soothing locations. This being one of them.
A new thought then occurred in the young male's mind. He still didn't really know who this female was. The first and most important thing to ask first, would be for a name. Prosper cleared his throat, he spoke with respect.
"What is your name?"

I can't hold onto me...
The peaceful scene was comforting to Taeliin. She now could see the sun clearly, watching it set over the horizen. It was now dusk, she could tell, because the sky was painted with colors of pink and orange, the clouds becoming thin whisps in the sky. Taeliin sighed, golden eyes looking over to Prosper. At least he understood where she was coming from...
As he sat there, looking over the lake, Tae grew thoughtful. He had asked her name...Well, he deserved to know...Taeliin, She said simply. Tae, if you want... She murmured, her voice still soft. The white she wolf laughed softly. I already know your name, Prosper. She spoke his name quietly. Another thing her step-mother told her. Always remember the names of the Royals, too. You never know when they'll come for a visit.. Remember their names, she did. There was Prosper...and Kinta, his mate. At this, Taeliin grew worried.
Perhaps you should go? Wouldn't your mate wonder where you are? She asked curiously, golden eyes resting on his face. Moments later, Taeliin looked down. That was a rude question...
wonder what's wrong with me...

.Prosper.
Prosper closed his eyes as she spoke her name. Taeliin. He registered the piece of important information at the back of his mind. He then opened his eyelids once more, revealing a pair of bright orange eyes. These then moved over to look at the female, the male's cranium not moving an inch, still facing out towards the lake.
The now-setting sun produced the illusion of a blazing sky. The light reflected onto the male's peltage, influencing on his natural colour, giving him a firey aura. The male chuckled at Taeliin's remark, she knew his name. Many did. Which truly wasn't a surprise.
Although, her next statement held a hint of worry. "Perhaps you should go? Wouldn't your mate wonder where you are?"
This made the king himself think. Kinta didn't really know where he was, and if she got too worried, she'd most likely send word around the whole of Kidva asking of his location. But he hadn't gone for long, so there really wasn't any need for alarm. He could stay for a while longer. Prosper then expressed these thoughts toward the female through words, adding a bit of humor onto them. "I can stay for a while, don't worry. If I am too long, I'll be the one recieving the clip 'round the ear." .Rich in Spirit.

let me stay, where the wind will whisper to me
Taeliin smiled. The scene was so beautiful. Curiously, she glanced over at Prosper. She was shocked as to what he looked like. He seemed to be as a flame in the sunlight. Since staring is rude, Tae looked away, out over the horizon again. A small laugh escaped the femme's maw as Prosper replied to her earlier question. She didn't want him to get in trouble, though. Sighing, Taeliin arose to her paws, giving her small frame a good shake. No water sprayed from her pelt. It seemed as if she was dry.
Still smiling, the young wolf took in a deep breath. Beautiful, isn't it? She asked Proser, golden eyes flickering to his frame. Indeed it was. The sunlight hit Tae's eyes making them glow an orange-y gold color. A slightly chilly wind rolled off the lake, running through her fur, and it made her think. Ryuzo loved it here... She murmured softly, her eyes growing mournful.
and the raindrops as they're falling, tell a story...

.Prosper.
Prosper raised his head slightly as Taeliin stood once more, ruffling her coat as she went. Her optics were now a piercing shade of gold, they illuminated her face, a pretty sight. "Beautiful isn't it?" Prosper nodded, again, slowly. Swaying as if he were doing so to a rhythm.
"Yes... Beautiful."
A few dead leaves rolled up around the male's paws, riding on the approaching breeze, this one being cooler than the west one. Prosper inhaled the peaceful air, orange eyes vanishing beneath contented eyelids, a small smile forming on his maw. He then exhaled and turned towards Taeliin as she spoke again. This time, in a slightly different tone of voice. "Ryuzo loved it here..." Prosper lowered his head and shifted his weight. Again, he was lost for words. But this time, it was almost impossible to string together a bunch of words to form a comforting sentence. Instead, he simply sighed and examined his front mitts. .Rich in Spirit.
